Dr. Sarwar Ali
Dr. Sarwar Ali is one of the many trustees at the Bangladesh Liberation Museum. Over the phone he talked about the causes of the war, discrimination, the role of women, U.S. and Pakistan accepting Bangladesh a country and his personal experience. He went over in great detail about the causes and events that lead the war. I got a better understanding of how politics played a major role for the war.
Swapan SenGupta
Swapan SenGupta was a freedom fighter during the war. Over the phone he talked about the causes of the war, role of India, China, Soviet Union, and the U.S., role of women, major characters in the war, and the end of the war. He also told me about his personal experience during the war. He was a college student at the time of the war and a freedom fighter. His father was also a freedom fighter and he died during the war. Mr. SenGupta helped me get a better understanding of the role of India and other countries during the war and the end results of the war. Currently he is a crime section officer in Bangladesh.
Janthu Kumar Sarkar
In my interview with Janthu K. Sarkar, even though he was just a young child during the war, he grew up hearing the stories of the war. He talked to me about the causes of the war, major characters in the war, and mainly about the politics that was a major cause of the war. I got a better understanding of how politics played a major cause of the Bangladesh Liberation War.
